Extreme Dreams

Ben Fogle leads a team of first-time adventurers on a trek along the infamous Black Cat Trail in the jungles of Papua New Guinea. They face deadly snakes, raging rivers and sheer ravines as they trek to the golden sands of Salamau Beach on the Pacific Ocean. Chris, who is 59, is forced to confront his lifelong fear of heights. The trail gets too tough for young office worker Danielle as the team start to long for home.

Dickinson's Real Deal

David Dickinson and the team are in Kendal today, and Mike Melody is trying to get locals Barbara and Arthur to part with their hand-built vintage train set. Mike steams in with an 800 pound offer, but Barbara is holding out for a grand. It is up to David to get this deal on track!

Reality show. The fourteen tourists on a trans-European journey reach Linz in Austria where the driver has a difference of opinion with one of the passengers. Phil and Pasquale find an odd way to settle a dispute, but the group have a convivial lunchtime boat trip on the Danube.

Weekenders returning from Amsterdam come under the suspicious scrutiny of customs officers, and, indeed, one overnight bag contains more than just dirty laundry.

The Sheriff of Fractured Jaw

This is the first ever western shot in Spain, its standing set later used for Sergio Leone's Dollars trilogy. The title role in this super spoof is played by British actor Kenneth More at his most diffident, and the director is the great Raoul Walsh, who films in the grand tradition of the genre. Fifties sex symbol Jayne Mansfield provides the love interest and there's a touching musical interlude in which she croons In the Valley of Love, dubbed by Connie Francis. The film's soundtrack is especially witty - check out that primitive car in Robert Morley's garage - and there's the added value of an entertaining Anglo-American supporting cast. Did you know that, with his roles in this film, Ramsbottom Rides Again and Carry On Cowboy, Sidney James appeared in all three British westerns?
