Mistresses

It's the final episode of the series and the women have much to think about. For instance, Siobhan (Orla Brady) can't understand why her husband Hari wants a divorce after finding out that she picked up strangers in hotel bars for sex. Hmm, tough one. Then there's Katie (Sarah Parish), the world's least observant doctor, who lives in a house made entirely of glass: she kisses her boss/ex-lover in public at work, then is shocked when she's spotted by her current boyfriend and he dumps her. Who'd have thought it? Still, though Mistresses is possibly the most witless drama in the history of television, it's hard to dislike, mainly because you know exactly where you are with it. Thus I guarantee that this last instalment will yet again live down to your expectations, as it did mine, when we must say goodbye to a glossy world of coloured tights, gorgeous glass lamp-bases and terrible dialogue.
